Dr. John Dubicki
John Dubicki, OD
Dr. John Dubicki grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1996 from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Dr. Dubicki knew from early on that he had a passion for primary eye care and wanted to serve the community he lived in. In 1999 he opened City Eye Care and has been an integral part of the community ever since.
In his spare time, Dr. Dubicki is a newly discovered boat enthusiast and loves to spend time with his wife and children out on Lake Washington. He and his family have a passion for hockey and they spend most of their weekends through the winter months on the ice. In addition to his family involvement, Dr. Dubicki also sits on the Board of Directors at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, devoting time and resources to help find a cure.
Dr. Kerri Svanda
Kerri Svanda, OD
Dr. Kerri Svanda graduated with honors from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Svanda has dedicated most of her career to refractive surgery. Having overseen an excess of 30,000 laser eye surgery cases, Dr. Svanda now enjoys working with her husband to provide primary eye care in the private practice setting.
Dr. Svanda enjoys cooking, a good book, and art. She also loves camping, boating and exploring the beautiful Northwest with John, their three children and their spastic dog.
Kerri is actively involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, speaking to groups and fundraising for their Light the Night, Leukemia Regatta and Man & Woman of the Year campaigns. She was also on the Parent Advisory Board at Seattle Children’s Hospital during their recent expansion, and has a passion for advocating and raising awareness for childhood cancers.
Erika Smith
Office Manager
Erika joined the City Eye Care team in 2012 as an Optician, and has since become an integral member of our staff as Office Manager. During her time studying at Bellevue College and Washington State University she concentrated in Biology; she draws from her background in science when helping patients and explaining the uniqueness of the human eye. She has worked in the Optical industry since 2008.
When she's not managing the office, Erika enjoys being active in the outdoors. During the summer months, she and her boyfriend love camping with their dogs, and beach-combing at low tide. In the winter, snowboarding and snowshoeing are her favorite pastimes.
